Chances are we all love someone who doesn’t have God in their heart. Doesn’t believe in a higher power. Doesn’t give credence to their soul or credit to our Maker.
Some prioritize material, worldly things and not the most important aspects of life. God, love, contentment, kindness, loyalty, determination, etc. Are they just apathetic to everything? Apathy is so hard to overcome!
Whatever the soul state of the non-believer, there are ways we can plant a seed, give them ideas to think about, messages to lift them up, opportunities to show who God is. Nudging them to seek their soul helps them find His!

COME AS YOU ARE
One thing we need to let our loved ones know is that God loves us just as we are and we don’t need to ready ourselves to explore Him or let Him in. Regardless of our past, our brokenness, our failures or our hangups, God loves us. He embraces us and He is just waiting for us to show up for Him.
Isaiah 1:18
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”
LESS WORD
Less of the Word for them and more of the Word for YOU. Meditate and rest in prayer for this person. Pray that YOU can find the right words to open their minds. Pray for the opportunity to have this conversation.
know them
Pray that you can hear them and do your best to understand their perspective. Listen with purpose. Without knowing their thoughts it’s difficult to infuse God’s intention into the conversation. Find out what appeals to them.
avoid cliches
Steer away from “Christian-isms” like: “Jesus died for you,” “The only way to heaven is thru Christ,” “Get right with God.” Pray for peace, patience, His will and wisdom. Pray for their hearts to open to spiritual, soulful exploration.

This mission ain’t going nowhere without us and them depending on Him. His offering is completely voluntary so He needs an invitation. He needs a question, a prayer, a request of any kind in His name. He will listen. Encourage the unconvinced to ask Him the same heart-felt question every day for seven days.

The World
IRL – ask questions like those listed above. Expect nothing but learning more about the person. Don’t use opening dialogue(s) to attempt to convert someone. Don’t think about conversion, think about sparking a life long quest for supernatural transformation.
THe Word
Spend time in the Word learning more about God’s intention for his people. The bible teaches us how to treat each other and this world. The Word is a physical way to connect with the supernatural world. Remembering to always give thanks and ask for forgiveness, as we all need His cleansing grace.
